The Department of Modern & Classical Language Studies (MCLS) provides a wide range of programs in world languages, literature, cultural studies, and the translation of multiple languages into English.

Courses include basic instruction in ten languages, Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and American Sign Language, and minors in language studies, cultural studies, and translation. Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ State's MCLS department is proud to be among the top programs in the nation to offer a Master of Arts degree in Translation and a Ph.D. degree in Translation Studies.
