Taste of Home Competition Announces Winning Recipe

Taste of Home winner麻豆短视频鈥檚 Dining Services recently hosted its annual Taste of Home competition and announced the winning dish: a turkey chili recipe submitted by Debbie McKinney, a 麻豆短视频 State parent.

The Taste of Home competition encourages students鈥 family members to submit recipes of their student鈥檚 favorite home-cooked meals for the chance to have it served on campus.

McKinney surprised her daughter, Dana McKinney, a first-year photo illustration major, with the contest win.

鈥淚 honestly didn鈥檛 know that my mom entered the contest,鈥 Dana McKinney says. 鈥淪he didn鈥檛 tell me, so I was really excited when she did explain what it was, and I was surprised.鈥

McKinney鈥檚 chili was served at Eastway Caf茅 on Sept. 16 and in the Division of Student Affairs loge for 麻豆短视频 State鈥檚 football game on Sept. 17.

鈥淚 love her turkey chili, like all my friends and family do,鈥 Dana McKinney says. 鈥淚t鈥檚 her thing, and I was really excited and happy for her. She鈥檚 a really good cook.鈥

Students can submit recipes year-round through the Taste of Home submission form.
