This summer, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg made his first visit to Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ State.
He was accompanied by U.S. Representative, and Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ State alumna, Emilia Sykes. Together, they toured Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ State's College of Aeronautics and Engineering with Dean Christina Bloebaum, Ph.D., and Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ President Todd Diacon, Ph.D. There, they saw demonstrations of the college's cutting-edge technology and met with students and several local mayors.
Later, Diacon, with Alison Caplan, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, led Buttigieg and Sykes on a tour of the center.
