Warrior’s Journey Home Witness Tree Ceremony

Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Taylor Hall
At the Ohio History Marker by the Prentice Parking Lot

Join us daily at 2:00 p.m. from November 1-11 for a ceremony honoring veterans and exploring the lasting impacts of combat on individuals and communities. Held at the May 4 National Historic Landmark Site, these gatherings reflect on the experiences of those who served in Vietnam and more recent conflicts, as well as those whose lives were shaped by opposition to war. Through remembrance and reflection, the brief daily ceremonies raise awareness of the challenges of coming home, including veteran suicide, and highlight the importance of healing, understanding, and community support. All are welcome.

The November 10 ceremony will be followed by a daffodil bulb planting on the Commons to honor the 58,175 U.S. service members who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
