Nerea Feliz is an Associate Professor and Graduate Advisor for Interior Design at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. Feliz’s research & creative practice focus on public space, inclusivity, & the intersection of architecture, interior design, & interior urbanism. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM). Her professional experience includes working at Foster + Partners and Zaha Hadid Architects, developing projects ranging from mixed-use office buildings to Heathrow Airport’s new terminal. In 2010, she founded Nerea Feliz Studio, a design and creative research practice.

Feliz’s research, writing, and projects have been featured in publications including The Plan Journal, Architect Magazine, and The Architect’s Newspaper, and exhibited at venues such as the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Bentway, SXSW Eco, and Matadero Madrid. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and has received honors, including the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture Outstanding Teaching Award for studio instruction in 2019 & the IDEC Teaching Excellence Award in 2020.
